Social-Emotional Learning group
Tabletop role playing games (TTRPGs) are games in which a group of people create and play the part of characters in a story that develops as the game is played. In therapy TTRPGs can be used to create space to help with processing emotions as well as to help develop social skills. Using the Bodhana therapeutic role playing model we have developed a social-emotional learning group for kids age 8-11 using Venture Society.

Skill development
This role playing game group is focused on developing skills:
- Frustration tolerance
- Stress management
- Self-regulation
- Social skills
- Self-esteem
- Calming strategies
- Resilience
- Goal setting
- Perseverance
- Respecting differences in others
- Emotional identification and management

The Game
Venture Society is a rules light TTRPG with adventures focused on problem solving, not combat, developed by 9th Level Games. It was designed with neurodiverse populations in mind and utilizes the core concepts from AutPlay Therapy, Therapeutic Powers of Play, and Social Emotional Learning as its foundation. These core concepts are Personal Strengths, Emotional Wellness, Social Wellness, and Communication.
